Challenge Rose 2026: Solidarity Adventure in Guatemala - Laboratoires Druide
At Laboratoires Druide, we believe that beauty goes beyond appearance – it lies in our ability to surpass ourselves and support the causes that are dear to our hearts. This year, we highlight an exceptional initiative that combines self-improvement, well-being and solidarity: the Pink October Challenge 2026.
A challenge born from an inspiring story
.
Discover Kim Joubert's testimony
The Pink October Challenge has its roots in the moving story of Kim Joubert, a courageous woman who transformed her personal ordeal into a force for collective action. At 39, after experiencing her father's cancer diagnosis and then her own fight against aggressive breast cancer, Kim chose to channel her resilience toward something greater: a unique challenge that unites sport, well-being and medical research.
A holistic experience in the heart of Guatemala
The Pink October Challenge 2026 is not just a simple hike – it's an invitation to experience a profound transformation in one of Central America's most breathtaking landscapes. From October 10 to 17, 2026, participants will fly to Guatemala for 8 days of adventures where each day brings its share of discoveries.
An exceptional program combining nature and introspection
The adventure begins with an immersion in Guatemalan culture, staying at Earth Lodge, an eco-responsible accommodation nestled in a preserved natural environment. Upon arrival, participants discover the famous Temazcal, a traditional Mayan wood-fired sauna, perfect for relaxing after the journey.
The sports challenge culminates with the ascent of the majestic Acatenango volcano, which rises to over 1,600 meters altitude. This demanding 6-kilometer climb with 900 meters of positive elevation gain offers breathtaking panoramas and an unforgettable night camping at the summit, under an exceptional starry sky.
The wellness experience is enriched daily with hatha yoga sessions adapted to all levels, meditation workshops on letting go, and authentic sharing moments between participants. These practices, inspired by the holistic approach Kim adopted during her healing, create a perfect balance between physical effort and mental renewal.
Moments of authentic connection
Beyond the physical challenge, the Pink October Challenge prioritizes enriching human experiences:
- Cultural immersion: Learning to make traditional tortillas with local families
- Agricultural discovery: Hikes through avocado farms and local plantations
- Sharing circles: Spaces for expression and connection between participants around their personal intentions
- Relaxation moments: Optional massages and spa treatments to promote recovery

Concrete impact for cancer research
What makes the Pink October Challenge truly exceptional is its solidarity mission. Facing a major public health issue where one in eight women will develop breast cancer and one in 36 will lose their life to this disease, each participation directly contributes to funding research projects in Canada. Although significant progress has been made, several forms of breast cancer remain without specialized treatment, making research more crucial than ever.
This initiative represents a unique partnership between the Cancer Research Society and the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation, two organizations dedicated to advancing medical science to save lives.
The vital importance of research
For more than eight decades, the Cancer Research Society has distinguished itself as one of the few Canadian philanthropic organizations exclusively dedicated to funding cancer research. By supporting the most promising scientific initiatives through grants and scholarships, it contributes to transforming patients' futures.
The Pink October Challenge fits into this mission by creating a bridge between personal commitment and collective impact, allowing each participant to become an actor of change in the fight against this disease.
Join the movement: an adventure accessible to all
The Pink October Challenge transcends simple sports adventure to become a comprehensive therapeutic approach. This innovative approach considers personal development and well-being as essential components of the healing process, creating a space where physical effort dialogues with inner peace.
The experience unfolds on two complementary dimensions: active adventure through hiking and volcanic ascent, and deep reconnection through meditation, health workshops and sharing circles. This duality offers participants a unique opportunity to slow down in our fast-paced world while physically surpassing themselves.
The Pink October Challenge is for anyone wishing to combine personal development and solidarity commitment, regardless of their sporting level. This beginner to intermediate level adventure prioritizes human experience and personal progression rather than pure performance.
