All of Druide's products are gluten-free. Gluten has also been extracted from the formulas containing rice, soya and wheat proteins.
Since its founding in 1979, Druide's laboratory has never used animal testing. We love animals too much to use them as test subjects and we make sure that our suppliers share the same values. All of our products are made without the use of any animal ingredients, except for our product line using organic goat's milk, which has been used since the beginning of our company by recovering the surplus milk produced by the goats of a small local farm which would unfortunately have to be thrown away otherwise. So to avoid wasting this precious gift of nature, Druide used it to make its first soaps.
All of our formulas have a pH of around 5.5 in order to match that of the skin. This attribute is fundamental in a product designed for the fragile and reactive skin on the face, body and scalp. Its balance guarantees the proper functioning of the hydrolipidic film and of the entire microbiota which makes up the skin's protective barrier.
Yes they can! Whether you are a woman, a man, a baby or a child, you will find the right product for you at Druide!
Dear parents, at Druide we do not encourage the use of products other than those which are part of our Pur&Pure line and our babies/children line during pregnancy or while breastfeeding. However, it is up to each individual to know themselves and to judge the safety of the different ingredients. The most "dangerous" thing about the use of certain formulas is the allergic risk (especially to essential oils) when it is not known about beforehand. Therefore, we have no other recommendation than to be cautious. Do not hesitate to ask your doctor for advice by showing them the official list of ingredients (INCI) contained in a product that you are uncertain about. Take care of yourselves!
Our Pur&Pure line is perfect for you! An alliance of absolute sweetness and lightness, its key ingredients are moisturizing aloe vera, regenerating olive and rice proteins which are beneficial for reactive skins. This hypoallergenic and organic care product line contains no fragrances or harmful ingredients in order to meet the needs of the most challenging and vulnerable skin types. It is suitable for atopic skins, allergic people, pregnant or breastfeeding women and for babies' hygiene. Estrogen-free, GMO-free, gluten-free, 100% vegan.
Your wariness is justified! However, the designation "alcohol" is not necessarily negative, as it contains interesting variants. A word ending in "-yl" designates a beneficial fatty emollient alcohol: Cetearyl alcohol, Cetyl alcohol, Stearyl alcohol... While denatured alcohols (ethanol) are considered irritating and dry out the skin.
From the moment the product is sealed up until the moment it expires, 3 years go by. However, once the packaging is opened, the duration of use (PaO: period after opening) varies. The PaO is indicated on each product and is represented by the shape of an open jar on which the number of months not to be exceeded is printed. It is also advised to always store our products in a clean area, away from any heat sources (radiator, sunlight...). Some products (creams and lotions) are not compatible with temperatures above 25°C.
Our Pur&pure line is the most suitable for people with atopic skin. Its pH and its very moisturizing formula, enriched with beneficial nutrients, allows it to gently cleanse the skin and provide it with all the support it needs.
FAQ Questions about our face care products
Our formulas' quality and our products' results are our main concerns. Our face care products do not contain any comedogenic ingredients and are free of all types of silicone, PEGs, mineral oils and other synthetic ingredients.
All of our products are dermatologically tested. This ensures that our formulas are perfectly tolerated by anyone's skin. Additional tests are performed on sensitive skins for so-called hypoallergenic products.
Our facial care products line is designed for all skin types. You then choose a combination of products according to your skin's needs. Light textures can be enriched with Pur&Pure Face & Body Milk, a universal formula that can also be used as a base to incorporate essential oils. For atopic, acne-prone or rosacea-prone skin, our Face Toner is a must!
Yes they do: our Serum and Eye Contour contain Oligosaccharide alpha-glucan and inulin, powerful prebiotics known to help maintain and support the skin's healthy microflora by promoting the growth of its beneficial bacteria. Simply put, it serves as food for good bacteria at the expense of pathogenic microorganisms.
FAQ Questions about the care of your little ones
Cradle cap is very common in babies under 6 month old, and it usually disappears by itself. It is important to not try to remove it, as this may irritate the skin or even accentuate the phenomenon. Do not worry, this does not indicate poor hygiene or any skin disease and does not cause any discomfort to your baby. It remains above all a cosmetic problem. The extent of the cradle cap will gradually decrease, but it is important to use appropriate care. However, if you see the scabs developing in an abnormal way (redness, discomfort, itching...) then we recommend that you seek medical advice.
Childhood eczema and/or atopic dermatitis is a dysfunction of the skin's protective layer. Very dry skin causes itching, redness, irritation and can cause your baby a lot of discomfort. A visit to your doctor is essential to establish a diagnosis. Our care products are formulated to provide the necessary benefits during cleansing and diaper changes, but also to get rid of the discomfort caused by the skin's dryness. It is necessary to favor a very soft cleansing solution, without any fragrance, and full of moisturizing and nourishing ingredients. Finally, moisturizing milk allows the skin to naturally regenerate and thus ensures that its protective layer is reinforced.
Babies have a very delicate skin, which is therefore extremely sensitive and vulnerable. Before the age of 24 months, their skin cells are not mature enough to maintain a good level of hydration. Our skin care products help prolong daily hydration and especially promote the renewal of the protective cells. Thus, it allows their skin to become naturally stronger every day.
Redness and irritation of the bottom are unfortunately very common. Our Zinc-free Paste (or Protective Balm) is designed to help prevent and soothe inflammation by neutralizing the enzymes which develop when your baby is wearing diapers and which are harmful to their skin's health. Keep changing your baby's diaper as often as possible while making sure to cleanse them well, and gently pat your baby's skin dry before applying the protective base. A visit to the doctor is necessary if the quality of the skin keeps deteriorating despite the hygienic care you provide.
FAQ Questions about the use of our products
First of all, you must make sure to choose the right shampoo for you. That is, one that is adapted to your scalp's characteristics and not to the condition of your lengths. We recommend washing your hair twice at a time: the first wash cleanses your hair and the second one allows the active ingredients to be absorbed into it. You do not need to use a large amount of shampoo even if you do not get it to lather, especially for the first wash. A walnut-sized quantity of product is enough for each use. There are also no rules about how often you should wash your hair, as we are all different in this matter. It is really up to personal choice, as long as you do not fall into the extremes.
Cleaning your face should be the first and the last thing you do in a day. In the morning, as a faster routine, use a little Face Toner to balance your skin's pH and help set the skincare products and makeup you are going to apply next. In the evening, take your time! Whether you wear makeup or not, facial skin gets exposed to all kinds of residue during the day which needs to be removed. Cleanse twice with our Cleansing Lotion and then with our Face Toner.
First of all, let's not forget that each hair is made up of two distinct parts: the root, on which you should use shampoo, and the length, on which you should use conditioner. The first product washes and cares for the scalp. The second moisturizes and nourishes the lengths to the ends. Our hair is covered with scales that serve as a shield. A healthy, strong, shiny hair that untangles easily is a hair which is protected by its scales. That is the case when these scales are all well sealed in order to form a smooth hair shaft, free of porosity. To ensure good results, you must then use your conditioner properly. It should be applied to well-rinsed hair, strand by strand, using your fingertips, and stretching the product from the lengths to the ends. This mechanical gesture allows it to trap all the nutritive actives and to seal the moisture in the hair by closing its scales. As a result, your hair gets easier to detangle, smoother, silkier and more radiant. Last tip: our conditioners can be used (occasionally) as a hair mask. By leaving them on, they will provide real care to your hair.
This Serum acts on your complexion, your skin's radiance, its appearance and its overall well-being. Whatever your skin type is, nobody is safe from looking paler or less healthy from time to time. You may get tired, eat poorly, or experience stress... which leads the skin to undergo changes. Depending on what you are looking for, you can incorporate this Serum into your daily routine or use it as a monthly treatment. In any case, it will help boost your cells and amplify your moisturizer's efficiency.

A natural perfume is built around aromas naturally found in its ingredients such as flowers, fruits, plants or essential oils. The latter can also be certified organic. The extraction processes of this kind of perfume are gentle: low temperature or steam distillation, closed circuit liquid extraction...
A synthetic perfume is artificially formulated around a solvent (ethanol), phthalates, synthetic musks and other chemical components.
In order to check your sensitivity to non-hypoallergenic formulas, we encourage you to place a small amount of the product on the inside of your wrist, where the skin is very thin. Leave it on for a few minutes before removing it with a clean cloth. Do not rinse it off for the next few hours. If you don't notice any particular reaction, it means that your skin is suited to this product.
Skin reacts differently from one person to another. By nature, it can be more or less receptive to ingredients. Also, depending on many health or environmental factors, the effectiveness of a product can be slowed down.
Nevertheless, cell renewal - which occurs at the same rate for everyone - is the fundamental element to take into consideration when using a cosmetic product or a shampoo.
It is necessary to wait several weeks (3 to 6) in order to notice the true effects of a product.
Depending on your receptivity to a formula's active ingredients, noticeable results may be visible after 2 cell renewals, i.e. after 6 weeks.
All of our packaging is recyclable. The inks and glues that we use are vegetable based. The cardboard boxes can be recycled alongside cardboard and plastic. They come from eco-managed forests. The glass from small bottles can also be recycled after removing the pump which can be thrown away with the other plastics. The plastics authorized by the Ecocert standard (PET) are also recyclable. You can throw them in the yellow garbage cans for sorting cardboard and plastic.

The word "natural" can be used in a generic way. It is often used as a marketing argument in order to promote the formulas. A 100% natural product is restricted to the information provided by the manufacturer and its "good faith". The term "organic" implies the control of the origin of the raw materials which are themselves guaranteed to be organically grown. This is generally reflected by the obtaining of a label which meets strict requirements (e.g.: 95% of ingredients from natural origin, at least 20% of organic ingredients in the total formula).
Intolerance (or hypersensitivity symptoms) is a physiological reaction caused by an irritant ingredient on sensitive skin (a preservative, an essential oil, a fragrance...). Whereas an allergy is a disturbance of the immune system which involves a poor resistance to allergens and is often linked to a genetic predisposition.
Contact us quickly by e-mail at isabelle@druidebio.fr with a precise description of your problem and the name of the product involved along with its batch number (located under the bottle). There is indeed a transition period to go through. The products most often involved are deodorant, shampoo and face care products. The often occlusive ingredients found in conventional products have a "camouflage" effect. The skin and hair must get rid of them and detoxify themselves in order to resume an autonomous and natural way of functioning.
• Switching from a conventional deodorant (antiperspirant containing aluminum salts) to a natural and organic deodorant requires the body to regain control over its perspiration by regulating it naturally.
• The same goes for the scalp and hair, for which it will take time to get rid of the chemical residues (silicones, sulfates).
• For the face, using a natural care product implies that your skin has to regain its biological functioning, regulate itself, get rid of the toxins left from synthetic products, before relearning to produce its own sebum and regain a natural cycle.
These transitions can last several weeks, or even several months in some cases. Don't be discouraged! Everyone can do it and it is bound to be beneficial!
