Natural cosmetics, whether from Laboratoires Druide or other brands, are formulated with organic ingredients and no synthetic preservatives.
They are therefore more sensitive to temperature changes, humidity, and bacterial contamination.
Proper storage helps preserve their effectiveness and safety.

Air: oxidation can affect essential oils and botanical extracts in natural formulas.
Light: UV rays can degrade vegetable oils and sensitive actives such as vitamin C and coenzyme Q10.
Humidity: encourages bacterial growth, especially in products without synthetic preservatives.
Heat: can cause creams to separate and speed up the breakdown of organic actives.

Store in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Room temperature should not exceed 25°C (77°F).
Refrigeration is recommended for serums and creams with sensitive actives, especially in summer.
Use clean spatulas for jar products, or wash hands thoroughly before use to prevent contamination.
Always close containers immediately after use.
Respect the PAO (Period After Opening) symbol, which indicates the number of months the product is usable after opening (e.g. 6M, 12M).

BBD (Best Before Date): After this date, a natural product may lose its effectiveness but is not necessarily unsafe.
PAO (Period After Opening): Indicates the number of months a product is safe to use after opening, shown with an open jar icon (e.g. 6M, 12M).

In cosmetics, BBD is not used because cosmetic products are not considered perishable like food.
Instead, regulations require a Minimum Durability Date (MDD) for products stable for less than 30 months, marked with an hourglass symbol.

Why don’t Laboratoires Druide products show an MDD?
Their products are tested for stability beyond 30 months (up to 36 months), so they are only required to display the PAO.

Yes, but with caution. If the product’s appearance, smell, or texture has changed (separation, rancid odor, mold), it’s best not to use it.
